Race Classes

General rules for all classes

  • Battery operated vehicles only.  Gas powered cars are not currently allowed as they cannot be raced during the indoor season
  • Every vehicle must be registered with the club and verified by the leaders to ensure it meets the right class requirements.  Once registered, it will be assigned a number by the leaders that will be used to reference the vehicle going forward.  One number will be assigned per vehicle class
  • 1/10th scale and smaller (e.g. 1/12, 1/16, etc) vehicles are allowed.  Any vehicle larger than 1/10th scale is at the discretion of the club leaders, and must fit all other general rules/category rules.  The larger vehicles may be classified differently to match the size and overall durability of other vehicles in the class.  An example of an allowed larger vehicle is a 1/8th Arrma Typhoon
  • 7 cell NIMH/NICAD or 2s hard cased LIPOs are allowed.  Soft cases are NOT allowed EXCEPT for smaller than 1/12th scale.  3s and larger LIPOs are not allowed.  Please see battery information article for more details
  • 1 vehicle per class at a time is allowed, although you may have more than 1 registered.  For example, you can only race 1 vehicle in Buggy stock per race, however, you could have an onroad car racing during the indoor season and an offroad car during the Fair.
  • 3 vehicle classes are allowed to race during a single event (nightly meeting or Fair).  You can have more than 3 vehicle classes registered, but you must choose which ones you are racing that night
  • Each class you're racing in must have a unique vehicle.  You cannot use the same car to race in multiple classes, even if it fits within the requirements
  • All vehicles must have a body that covers and protects the chassis and electronics.  Body should be an appropriate r/c vehicle body
